JEWISH RESPONSES TO THE HOLOCAUST will explore the ways in which Jews in Israel and the U.S. have responded to the Holocaust.

This is a two-hour class. The fee is $80.00.

AMERICAN JEWRY SINCE WORLD WAR II. Since the start of World War II, American Jewry has emerged as the most prosperous community
in the history of the diaspora. It has created national and local institutions; built thousands of synagogues and community centers; and
contributed to the cultural, scientific, and economic life of America in numbers higher than the Jewish population. This course will look at
challenges that have confronted American Jewry since WWII and how the Jewish community have responded to them.

He also teaches at Temple

MEDIA "MAVENS"
Asks two questions: Why does
the media cover Jewish issues
as they do? How does being a
Jew affect the way in which
Jewish reporters think about
their job?
Discussions led by George
Cantor, Detroit Nm's columnist,
with special appearances by
prominent media members
such as Sonny Eliot, Murray
Feldman, Warren Pierce, Laura
Berman, Kate De Smet and
Tarek Hamada.
