The 30th annual Brandeis
Book Sale was held last
week at the Tel-Twelve
Mall. Volunteers from the
Detroit Chapter of Brandeis
University Women's Com-
mittee begin a year in ad-
vance gathering and
categorizing 150,000 books.
There are more than 70
categories of books, in-
cluding sections of Yiddish
books, high school year-
books, diet books, textbooks,
Cliff Notes and encyclopedia
sets. As the doors opened,
book lovers rushed the scene
to fill their shopping carts.
"Book dealers from Iowa,
Oklahoma and Ohio have
called us all week about the
sale," said Beverly Baker.
Mrs. Baker began volunteer-
