There hasn't been a picnic
like Shir Shalom's in 2000 years.

And we're pretty sure Isaac never even heard of a kosher hot dog.

Abraham might not have played
softball with his sons. And Sarah
probably didn't take first place in the
three-legged race. But, in the tradition
of our ancestors, Shir Shalom invites
the community to join our family at
our Annual Summer Picnic.

interfaith couples... all are an
important part of our diversity.

At Shir Shalom, innovation and
tradition meet for .a happy medium.

We are truly a family, a place where
members feel at home, and where
even interested prospective members
can immediately share that sense of
closeness. You'll see how our
members are a mix of different types
of people: marrieds with and without
children, singles, blended families ;

We've listened to the suggestions of
our members, and created programs
tailored to their needs. From Friday
night potluck dinners to book
discussion groups, to once-a-week
kids' Hebrew School and "kamikaze"
Hebrew lessons for adults....-we've
taken organized religion and guided it
into today's varied lifestyles.

If you're already a Shir Shalom
member, come celebrate the end of
summer. If you're a non-member,
come see what we're about. We look
forward to seeing you there!
