Balfour Committee
Names Chairmen

Sherman Shapiro and Dr.
Lester Zeff will chair the
Balfour 58 Celebration Com-
mittee of the Zionist
Organization of America.
Honorary Chairmen are Irv-
ing Laker, Sidney Silverman
and Philip Slomovitz.
Anne Brand and Marge
Bennett-Kaufman will chair
the Balfour Women's Com-
mittee and Johanna Gordon,
Eleanor Hack, Pauline Klein,
Billie Kramer and Mary
Shapiro will serve as
co-chairs.
Serving on the executive
committee are Menachem
Glaser, Dr. Jerome Kaufman,
Marion Leib, Ezekiel Leikin
and Max Sosin.
The Balfour Celebration
and concert are set Nov. 3 at
the Masonic Temple
auditorium with an Israeli
and American cast.
The Balfour Celebration
Committee will kick off its
1991 campaign at a brunch
noon Aug. 25, hosted by Dr. I.
Walter and Anne Gonte
Silver at their home in
Bloomfield Hills.
