I have made a commitment to B'nai B'rith because B'nai B'rith has made a commitment to young people! In 1924, B'nai B'rith founded the world's largest Jewish youth program, B.BAT.O. More than half a million teenagers have passed through the ranks, living and learning Judaism, participating in community service activities and nurturing leadership skills. For many kids the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization is the very core of their Jewishness. It gives them a chance to identify as Jews, and be proud of it. The climate is much better for the Pollard case because of the Gulf War." Mr. Pollard wrote in a letter published in the Feb. 15 Wall Street Journal that concern for Israeli lives was the primary reason for pass- ing on information.
