and San Francisco ballets will

Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and
Strauss as played by the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra,
Leslie B. Dunner conducting
8 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Baldwin
Pavilion. There will be
fireworks.

Oak Park
Hosts Contours

The City of Oak Park will
present "The Contours" in
concert 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at
Shepherd Park.
This quintet from the
Motown era will finish out
the Oak Park Summer Con-
cert Series.
The concert is free; spec-
tators are asked to bring their
own lawn chairs. A concession
stand will be available.
In case of rain, the perfor-
mance will be conducted in
the Oak Park High School
Auditorium.

Hosts Puppeteer

The Waterford Township
Library will host puppeteer
and songstress Maureen
Schiffman and Coco, her
kazoo-playing monkey pup-
pet, 1:30 p.m. Aug. 14.
Maureen and Coco will
journey on an "African
Safari," through music, move-
ment, puppetry and story-
