Valentina, D.O.C. of West
Bloomfield and Bettina.
The evening started off with
a stage show . . . half of the
models used this evening by
Leah were also dancers .. .
and good ones, too.
The merchants never
received so much video and
audio show publicity . . . and
for sure got more than their
money's worth.
Show opened with five gals
and four guys all in tuxedos
while Fred Astaire danced on
the ceiling singing "Top Hat"
over the three big ClubLand
overhead screens.
Huge puff of smoke filled
the stage as models and
dancers came out under the
three screens which constant-
ly gave out the names of
businesses . . . and like a big
stage production, the model
dancers stepped in perfect
unison . . . going off in
another puff of smoke.
It was quite evident that
many of the models were en-
joying their "fling" at stage
show biz . . . One, though,
looked like she had a little
stage fright.
Captain Rick Jagger of
WHYT was great as one of
the emcees . . . and the danc-
ing production showed the
various stores' fashions at
their best . . . The models
made the video screens, too.
Then came quite a produc-
tion number . . . as a slave
scene brought together husky
body beautiful guys and body
beautiful female models.
The screens said, "Evening
'91" and out came men and
women models in their
fashion finery . . . Even the
white dog one of them held on
a leash "hammed" it up good
for the over 1,000 attendees
who saw much more than
they had expected.
Fashion show finale was a
salute to the armed forces as
the army and navy came out
marching . . . then stood at at-
tention while the models and
dancers weaved around them.
But the show wasn't over
. . . After intermission came
the very fine vocalizing of Or-
theia Barnes accompanied by
two acrobatic dancers . . .
Then a female quartet . . .
followed by Dr. Yvan Silva
singing while a production
scene went on.
A fashion production show
such as this one has to seal
Leah Marks as our locale's
number one style producer
. . . a fact that may be
somewhat hard to dispute
now.

LOVE STORY . I didn't
like him when we lived next
door to each other in Oak
Park," says Vickie Greer.
"And when Michael Panter
and I eventually went out two
weeks after meeting, he ask-
ed me to marry him. I told
him I didn't love him and he
said, 'You'll learn to! "
Seventeen years later plus
daughter Ilyn and son Ian,
Vickie's tune is, "I couldn't be
more in love with Mike than
I am!"
