cooperative efforts of the
Jewish Community Center,
the Jewish Information Ser-
vice, the Jewish Welfare
Federation and Jerome
Glassman.
Pick-up is scheduled for the
following areas: Monday —
Southfield and Detroit; Tues-
day — Oak Park; Wednesday
— Northwest Detroit, Oak
Park, Royal Oak, Southfield
and Berkley; Friday — Oak
Park, Royal Oak, Berkley.
Passengers are picked up at
their homes beginning at 9:30
a.m. and return from the
Center at 3 p.m. A donation
of $1 for the round trip is
suggested.

volunteers for the 1991 Torch
Drive campaign. Individuals
are needed for telephone
solicitation and follow-up.
The following locations
need volunteers: United
Hebrew Schools, 12 Mile and
Lahser; University of Detroit,
Livernois and Six Mile;
Manufacturers Bank, Dear-
born; United Way for South-
eastern Michigan, Dearborn
office.
Workers are needed morn-
ings and/or evenings; daily
on-site training will be pro-
vided as well as free parking
and refreshments.

Machon Sets
Lunch and Learn

Rabbi Avraham Jacobovitz,
director of Machon L'Torah,
will inaugurate a new Lunch
and Learn program for doc-
tors and individuals in the
medical profession to be held
bi-weekly.
The opening session will be
noon Aug. 21 at the Henry
Ford Hospital Clinic
Building, 2799 West Grant
Blvd., Room K7. The program
will include a lecture on
medical ethics from a Jewish
perspective by Rabbi Shmuel
Irons, dean of the Kollel In-
stitute of Greater Detroit.
Lunch may be ordered for a
