SPACE Sets
Parent Workshop

SPACE for Changing
Families will sponsor a
workshop titled "Parenting
Children of Divorce"
7:15-9:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at the
Southfield office, 30233
Southfield Rd., between 12
and 13 Mile roads. Pre-
registration is required.
The workshop will be lead
by Mel Raider, author and
professor at Wayne State
University.

munity service of the Na-
tional Council of Jewish
Women, Greater Detroit Sec-
tion, which offers support for
those men and women who
are separated, divorced or
widowed, and their families.

The Hearing Loss Peer Sup-
port Group of the Jewish
Community Center will offer
a sample lesson on the subject
of speech reading (lip
reading), featuring Sinai
Hospital audiologist, Karen
Finn, 1 p.m. Aug. 13 in the
Staff Lounge of the Maple-
Drake building.
Participants will learn in-
troductory techniques and
will be able to determine the
benefits of an ongoing course
in speech reading to be of-
fered in the fall.
