B&P Division
Names Chairmen

Nurses Council
Will Be Formed

Barbara Tukel has been ap-
pointed chairman of the
Business and Professional
Division of the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit.
Programs sponsored by
B&P focus on the re-
quirements and interests of
career-minded women and
their role in the community.
A branch of Women's Divi-
sion, B&P also provides an
opportunity to network
among members.
A member of the Women's
Division board, Mrs. Tukel is
on the Campaign executive
cabinet. She is a past chair-
man of the B&P Rishon Sec-
tion and served on the divi-
sion's programming
committee.
Mrs. Tukel succeeds Susan
Miller, who will serve as ad-
viser to B&P, and Janice
Schwartz will be associate
chairman. Diane Klein is
president of Women's Divi-
sion, and Doris August holds
the B&P portfolio as vice
president.
Ellen Bean is the chairman
of the Ruach Section, and
Gayle Burstein is associate
chairman. Diane Ash is the
Hatikvah Section's chairman,
replacing Marcy Borofsky,
who is adviser. Susan Alter-
man is associate chairman.
The Rishon Section's chair-
man is Lynn Sachse, and Gail
Alpert, Rhona Fidler, Caren
Landau Levin and Jill Mehr
are associate chairmen.
Anne Klisman is the chair-
man of Phonogift, and Louise
Lessing is associate chair-
man. The chairman of the
programming committee is
Zina Kramer, and Nancy
Kurland-Simpson is associate
chairman.
Helaine Zack, Susan Mar-
wil, Judge Susan Moiseev
and Sherri Lumberg are
chairing the new prospects,
cash collection, special pro-
jects and long-range planning
committees, respectively.

The first meeting of the
Hadassah Nurses Council
will take place 6:45 p.m. Aug.
28 at Hadassah House.
Sue Kaufman will give a
chronological history of
Hadassah; Barbara Gutman,
Greater Detroit Chapter
president, will speak on the
structure and function of the
Nurses Council.
All Jewish nurses are in-
vited to be guests for dinner
and participate in the forma-
tion of the group. Current
Hadassah members who are
nurses are invited to join the
Nurses Council and have a
dual membership with their
regular group.
