Library Fun
Set For August

The Baldwin Public Library
Youth Room will hold "Read
on the Wild Side" programs
in August for the whole
family.
African Safari will be
10:30-11:30 a.m. (preschool-
2nd grade), and 2-3 p.m. (3rd
grade and up). There will be
entertainment, refreshments,
awards and prizes for all sum-
mer reading program par-
ticipants with an admission
ticket.
Dinner Theatre, 7 p.m. Aug.
15, will be a family sing-along
with Rita Kirsch. Bring a pic-
nic supper and blanket. The
library will supply punch.
Registration will begin Aug.
3.
Bedtime Stories will be 7
p.m. Aug. 21 for ages 3 and up.
Celia Goodman will take kids
on an animal adventure. No
registration necessary.

Jewish Family Service will
offer a new seven-week ses-
sion of the workshop, "Kid-
dushin is for Keeps, Making
Your Marriage Work." The
course, designed for engaged
and newly-married couples,
will begin 7-9 p.m. Sept. 5 at
Jewish Family Service.
The marital workshop, en-
dorsed by the Michigan Board
of Rabbis, will examine a
variety of topics which will
help to build a lasting, suc-
cessful relationship. These
topics include: techniques for
effective communication,
analyzing expectations, dual
career marriages and money
management. The last ses-
sion will be conducted by a
rabbi, and the topic of Jewish
family traditions in relation-
ship to marriage will be
discussed.
There is a fee and limited
enrollment. For information,
