Brooks 50th

Pearl and Al Brooks recent-
ly celebrated their 50th an-
niversary at a dinner party at
the Furniture Club.
Hosting the party were
their children, Sharon and
Bob Rudin, Debbie and Jef-

frey Chutz and Dennis
Brooks.

In attendance were all the
members of the original
bridal party as well as the
Brooks' seven grandchildren.

Scott Cohon

SCOTT COHON of
Southfield has accepted a one-
year position with Alpha Ep-
silon Pi. Scott was active in
chapters located at Michigan
State University and most
recently was the president of
the Wayne State chapter. He
wrote and directed the promo-
tional video used by the
Metro-Detroit Hillels.

JAN HELPER of West
Bloomfield has accepted the
office of national president of
the Alpha Zeta Omega Phar-
maceutical Fraternity Aux-
iliary and was installed at the
National Convention in
Atlantic City.

RICHARD VICTOR,
MICHAEL ROBBINS and
Scott Bassett of the Birm-
ingham law firm, Victor, Rob-
bins & Bassett, are featured
in a special edition of the
American Bar Association's
Family Law Quarterly,
Spring, 1991. Their article is
entitled "Statutory Review of
Third Party Rights Regarding
Custody, Visitation and Sup-
port," a 50-state analysis of
all laws regarding grand-
parents, stepparents and
other third party rights
regarding children in the
United States.

JOHN KAMINS of Bloom-
field Hills was recently
elected president of the
Leukemia Society of
America, Michigan Chapter.
He also was elected to his se-
cond term as vice president of
Temple Beth El. He is a part-
ner in Honigman Miller
Schwartz and Cohn.
