Singles trips don't have to involve white water. A few weeks ago, the JCC spon- sored a singles trip to Chicago. Harry Pevos and Mike Silverstein, two volunteers who've planned singles ac- tivities before, organized a weekend of rock and roll in the Windy City. In the beginning of July, 15 singles between the ages of 25 and 35, flew to Chicago. "The basic idea of the weekend was to have a loose, casual trip," said Mr. Pevos. "We just wanted to have a good time, to meet some nice peo- ple, to hang out and to have fun." The group ate at Ed Debevic's, a popular Chicago restaurant. They played pin- ball and drank Black Cow milk shakes and fizzy chocolate phosphates. Later, they danced the night away at the Hard Rock Cafe and Division Street discos.
