One of his paintings depicting Pontiac's con- spiracy to storm Detroit was commissioned by local at- torney Mayer Gordon. commissioned Mr. Johnston to paint Mt. Rushmore for the 50-year anniversary. Proceeds from the sale of the painting will benefit the Mt. Rushmore Preservation Fund. Many of Mr. Johnston's paintings focus on Ameri- cana. His paintings grace the cover of magazines as well as enhance corporate headquarters.
