Eight AZA and BBG
leaders have been honored as
recipients of Irving and Sarah
Pitt Leadership Scholarships.
Scholarships were awarded to
BBYOers for attendance at
both the Chapter Leadership
Training Conference in
Mukwonago, Wis., and the In-
ternational Leadership Train-
ing Conference in Starlight,
Pa.
The CLTC-bound recipients
are Susan Kovsky of Aliyah
BBG and Michael Schonberg
of Funk AZA. The ILTC-
bound recipients are Julie
Litberg, Stacy Weinberg, and
Amy Jablin of Shira BBG,
Jae Jae Spoon of Shalom Aviv
• BBG, Nessa Vinokur of
Wallenberg BBYO (Ann Ar-
bor) and Ethan Horowitz of
Marx AZA.

Stacy Glickman, daughter
of Steven and Brenda
Glickman of West Bloomfield,
and Lisa Goren, daughter of

the Joan Kalef Memorial
Leadership Awards.
The awards recognize
leadership achievement
within BBYO and are in the
form of a fully-paid registra-
tion to the BBYO Interna-
tional Convention in August
at the B'nai B'rith Perlman
Camp in Starlight, Pa.
Stacy has been a member of
BBG since March 1989 and is
a past president of Achayot
BBG. She is a member of
Savage BBG and will serve
this year as secretary of the
Great Lakes BBG Council.
She will enter 12th grade this
fall at Andover High School.
Lisa has been a member of
Shira BBG since May 1988
and served last year as BBG
Council Outstate vice presi-
dent. She will serve in the
coming program year as
president of the Great Lakes
BBG Council. She will enter
12th grade this fall at North
Farmington High School.

barbecue 7:30-10:30 p.m. Ju-
ly 31 at Crosswinds Mall, Or-
chard Lake and Lone Pine
