D

orothy Friedl, ex-
ecutive director of the
Greater West Bloom-
field Chamber of Commerce,
was named West Bloom-
field's 1991 business person
of the year. She was nomi-
nated by her peers at the
Chamber of Commerce.
According to the
chamber's past president
Kenneth Mayhew, "Dorothy
represents the chamber and
the community very well with
a first impression of warmth
and helpfulness."
"We're here to help
however we can," said Mrs.
Friedl.
As the chamber's repre-
sentative, she fields the
thousands of phone calls and
helps business people net-
work within the community.
As a member of the Council
of Chambers of Commerce of
Oakland County, she is in-
volved with other local
communities.
Mrs. Friedl has been ex-
ecutive director of the
Greater West Bloomfield
Chamber of Commerce for
seven years. After graduating
from McCormick Business
College in Chicago, she work-
ed as a secretary for a radio
and television station.
"I have thoroughly en-
joyed working with people of
all ages," said Mrs. Friedl.
"Working and communicat-
ing together is the name of
the game." 0
