Bumper Bowling

Bumper bowling takes the
pressure off little bowlers. No
matter how they aim their
bowling ball, it will bounce off
the rubber tubing that lines
the gutters, and hopefully, hit
a few pins. West Bloomfield
Lanes, 6800 Orchard Lake
Road, 855-9555 also offers
summer bumper bowling
leagues and bumper-free lanes
for older children and adults.

Take a Whirl
in a Bumper Car

Whirly Ball is for the super
coordinated or those with a
sense of humor. It involves
scooping up a plastic ball and
aiming it at a wall-mounted
target, all while zipping
around in a bumper car. Bring
along a gang — each court
rents for $125/hour and ac-
commodates 10 players at a
time. Call for reservations.
5700 Drake Road, 788-8900.
