The following shows begin at 8 p.m. The Ford Motor Company will present the first concert of its Chene Park Free Classical Series with The Bern Wind Symphony Band direct from Switzerland July 7. Rockin' The Blues will be July 19, with Detroit's hottest bands including The Alligators, the soul and rock of the Chisel Brothers with Thornetta Davis and blues veterans The Detroit Blues Band featuring Jim McCarty. A Motor City Sunsplash will come to Chene Park Ju- ly 29 with the calypso beat of the Sun Sounds Orchestra and the Trinidad Tripoli Steel Band. A trio of Motor City Favorites will light up Chene Park Aug. 2. Juanita McCray, Eddie Burns and Little Son- ny will perform. Planet Rock will come Aug. 3 with the Earth Island Or- chestra's big beat music featuring musicians from across the globe, plus Detroit's drummer Roy Brooks. Chene Park's Free Concert Series will continue Aug. 30 with the blues sounds of the Hep Cats, the bluesy Motown of Zoom and the Blue Dia- mond Band and Detroit's R & B singer and guitarist Robert Penn.
