INNOVATIONS INTERACTIVE HEBREW LAB Beginning in the fall of '91, the Agency for Jewish Education and the University of Michigan will be partners in a new cooper- ative educational venture. A computer and interactive video project will be introduced for the learning of Hebrew language. This new program will include two Midrasha courses for adults and one high school course. The joint project, which is designed to enhance the Hebrew curriculum through computer and interactive video technology, is directed by Dr. Edna Coffin, Professor of Hebrew Language and Literature, and Senior Research Scientist at the University of Michigan for Research on Learning and Teaching. Ms. Tamar Traub, Ms. Nira Lev and Ms. Narda Oz are the Agency's teachers who will be involved in summer training at the University and implementation this fall. GROSSE POINTE JEWISH COUNCIL SUNDAY SCHOOL The AJE has entered into an exciting new partnership with the Grosse Pointe Jewish Council Sunday School. Under the directorship of Ms. Judy Silberg Loebl, who has formulated a six-year curriculum for the program, the school serves 17 students who are divided into two levels. Each level meets on Sundays for an hour and a half, under the guidance of teacher, Ms. Wendy Newman. Since the school began, there has been a Shabbat program, a Purim play, a special Tu B'Shevat program, a model seder, and a Lag B'Omer picnic. "So far, we've been very successful, and we're quite pleased with our new partnership," says Ms. Judy Silberg Loebl.
