Peter Mayer, a New York ar- tist, has become known over the last few years for a style of graffiti art. He is known as "The Dog Man" for his gestural images of dogs painted throughout the streets of New York. Gracing buildings, construction sites and anything paintable on the New York street, his dogs have breathed life into areas that were otherwise decorated with scrawled, spray-painted grafitti. Mr. Mayer paints with broad strokes, creating direct and simple forms that com- municate a sensation of positive energy.
