This ten piece Sousa-style band will play theme songs from the military as well as Dixieland and swing favorites. The 1st Michigan Colonial Fife and Drum Corps will play July 3. Dressed in authentic, handmade Revolu- tionary War uniforms, this corps will bring American history alive. The Gazebo Concert Series goes through Aug. 28, and is held at 7 p.m. every Wednes- day night at the historic Burgh site, located at Civic Center Drive and Berg Road, sponsored by the Cultural Arts Division of Parks and Recreation and the Musicians Performance Trust Fund. The concerts are free. Children can participate in the children's series this year. They will be supervised and entertained with live perfor- mances, storytellers and arts and crafts. On June 26 will be the Chautauqua Express, a show for all ages. Guy Sferlazza will explain and perform on string instruments such as a mandolin, a ukelele, a Renaissance lute and three types of guitars. There will be a sing-along and even a 15 voice chorus. On July 3rd is an arts and crafts program in which children will be able to make crafts from the 19th century.
