A DAY TO REMEMBER
Golf and tennis invitational honors
Tiger Hall of Fame':
I
t was a day of golf, tennis and fun
at the Tam O'Shanter Country Club
in West Bloomfield. But mostly, it
was a day of memories as former
teammates, friends, media personalities
and other local dignitaries came to
honor Tiger great Hank Greenberg.
The event, a project of the Michigan
Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, was held to
benefit the Hank Greenberg Memorial
Cancer Fund at Sinai Hospital.
Among the honored guests was Hank
Greenberg's son, Stephen, himself a
former professional baseball player who
is currently the chief operating officer of
Major League Baseball.
