Award Dinner
Hears Speaker

The American Jewish Com-
mittee, Detroit Chapter, will
bestow its 1991 Community
Leadership Award at a 6:30
p.m. June 26 reception and
dinner to Douglas and
Winifred Fraser at the
Detroit Westin Hotel.
The evening's speaker will
be Hyman Bookbinder, AJC's
Washington representative
emeritus. Before joining AJC
in 1967, Mr. Bookbinder serv-
ed as executive officer of the
President's Task Force on
Poverty and then served as
assistant director of the Office
of Economic Opportunity. His
work background also in-
cludes economist and
research assistant for the
Amalagamated Clothing
Workers of America in New
York and legislative represen-
tative for the AFL-CIO.
Mr. Bookbinder serves as a
public affairs counsellor and
has appeared on public affairs
programs. He serves on the
boards of the American
Jewish World Service,
American Committee on U.S.-
Soviet Relations and the In-
ternational Institute for the
Study of Prejudice.

Tours of the hospital's labor, delivery, post partum and nursery
areas are available.
