Degani, an authority on the
use of imaging machines for
in-depth studies of cancer,
will discuss "Your Body, Your
Health — Advances in Breast
Cancer Diagnosis" at a lun-
cheon sponsored by the
Women of the Detroit Weiz-
mann League June 26 at the
home of Florine Mark-Ross.
Professor Degani heads the
magnetic resonance facility
at the Weizmann Institute of
Science in Rehovot, Israel.
Her research is devoted to
conquering breast cancer
through the use of non-
invasive diagnostic pro-
cedures that allow scientists
to see inside the body beyond
what ordinary X-rays reveal.
Co-chairing the event are
Lisa Lis and Dr. Renee
Horowitz. The steering com-
mittee members are Diane
Ash, Randee Bloom, Ellen
Boorstein, Julie Borman,
Lisa Broder, Lisa Brody, Con-
