Maple-Drake Plans
Summer Courses

A Computer course, "In-
troduction to Appleworks,"
will be offered at the Maple-
Drake Jewish Community
Center. This class is designed
for those with home or
limited business needs. This
survey course features a
"hands-on" approach to lear-
ning work processing, data
management and a spread-
sheet in one integrated
program.
Registration is now being
accepted for this six-week
course which will meet 10-11
a.m. Sundays starting June
23.
Eight weeks of bridge
classes will start June 24 at
the Maple-Drake building.
There are morning and even-
ing, beginner and in-
termediate courses offered.
Everything from point count
to basic conventions will be
covered. Students may
register with or without a
partner.
Deanna Sperka will offer a
museum and gallery tour
class. Mrs. Sperka, a multi-
media artist and
photographer, will take
classes to alternative space
galleries as well as major
museums in the metropolitan
Detroit area.
This lecture series will
begin June 26 for six
Wednesdays.
Camille Harbeck will con-
duct two art courses this sum-
mer at the Maple-Drake
building. A watercolor and
drawing class for beginning
and intermediate students
will meet on Wednesday mor-
nings and "Art History with
Camille" will meet Thursday
evenings. These are for a six-
week semester starting June
26 and 27.

SPACE Sets
Workshop

SPACE — Room to Grow For
Changing Families will spon-
sor a workshop entitled, "Get-
ting In Touch With Yourself"
7:15-9:30 p.m. June 18 at the
SPACE office in Southfield.
This month's workshop
presenter, Mark Pensler, is a
SPACE facilitator, as well as
a licensed professional
counselor.
