Exercise Classes
Set At JCC

Gentle movement exercise,
a class for those with low vi-
sion or movement limitations,
is ongoing at the Jewish Com-
munity Center. The class,
which focuses on body
awareness and muscle
strengthening, meets 10:30
a.m. Mondays at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris building and
11 a.m. Wednesdays at the
Maple-Drake building.

Beth Achim
Gives Scholarships

Recipients have been
chosen for the Laker, Berman
and Tepman Scholarships at
Congregation Beth Achim.
Aaron Ellenbogen will
receive the Harry and Sarah
Laker Israel Youth Scholar-
ship for a year of study in
Israel. He will attend Tel Aviv
University for the 1991-92
academic year.
Avram Friedman will
receive the Robert and Ger-
trude Berman Scholarship for
Judaic Studies for the
1991-92 academic year. He
will study at the University of
Judaism in Los Angeles in
the pre-rabbinic program.
The Laker and Berman
Scholarships will be awarded
during Shabbat services on
June 8.
The Tepman Scholarship for
USY Summer Programs will
be awarded .to Marjorie
White. She will go on the
USY Eastern Europe
Pilgrimage. The Tepman
Scholarship will be presented
during Shabbat Services on
June 15.
