West Bloomfield Township
Public Library will present
"Read on the Wild Side," a
summer reading program
open to children of all ages
June 3-August 2.
After registering at either
library, children will receive
a reading log to record time
spent reading. A Read-To-Me
log is available for the very
young.
A weekly drawing will be
held at each library. Children
who complete the program
will receive a certificate. A
final program with mime ar-
tist, O.J. Anderson, will be
scheduled in early August. A
ticket with the date and loca-
tion will be given to children
who have registered and read
for one hour.

Evening Storytime will be
7-7:30 p.m. June 11 at Main
Library; June 18 at West-
acres. No registration is
needed.
Movie programs will be

Oak Park Library
Children's Program
Mary Conway, news report-
er at WXYZ-TV/Channel 7,
will read some of her favorite
children's stories 7 p.m. June
13 at the Oak Park Library.
This program, part of Chan-
nel 7's Library Reading Pro-
gram in which Channel 7's
on-air talent visits Detroit
metropolitan area libraries to
stimulate children's interest
in reading, is for children ages
4-8.
Ms. Conway will be joined
by Ming the Magnificent,
who will entertain the
children with music and
magic.
Jazz Program
At Attic Theatre
"Jazz Is . . . Too," a musical
journey through the history of
jazz from World War II to the
present, will play at the Attic
for two weekends — June
21-23 and June 28-30.
