Installs Officers

The Migdal Tzion chapter of
Adat Shalom Synagogue
United Synagogue Youth will
install its 1991-92 officers at
the group's annual installa-
tion and youth awards
ceremony 7 p.m. June 2 at the
synagogue. Kimberlee Rubin,
who will be a senior at Har-
rison High in Farmington
Hills, will be the new
president.
Elected to the executive
board are: vice presidents,
Mara Leichtman, Caryn
Lubetsky, Rachel Lawson,
Alisa Nack, Sarah Tigay;
treasurer, Julie Gordon;
secretary, Wendy Betel.
The following youth awards
will be presented: Shoresh
Youth Award, Howard Weber
Youth Participant Award,
USY Leadership Award, Ron-
nie Posen Youth Award for
Religious Leadership, Na-
tional Men's Club Youth
Award, Louis and Lena
Linden Memorial Award, and
the Madelon and Louis
Seligman Youth Education
Award.

On Camera Class
At Maple-Drake

The "On Camera" class at
the Maple-Drake Jewish
Jewish Community Center is
for the 8-14 year old who is in- .
terested in the performing
arts and wants to cultivate
speech, drama and camera
presence. At the end of the
four week instructional
period there is a videotaping
of the class project.
This class will consist of
eight hours of training
meetings 2-4 p.m. Sundays at
the Maple-Drake Building
starting July 21.
It is open to the public and
there is a fee. For information,

Adat Shalom
Honors Youth

Adat Shalom Synagogue
will hold its annual Youth
Honoree Shabbat June 1.
During morning services
young people will be called to
the bimah and recognized for
their participation in Jewish
summer programming and
other achievements. Each of
the young people will be
presented with a book on
behalf of the synagogue.
