The annual Spirit of B'nai
B'rith award event will be 8
p.m. June 11 at the Southfield
Marriott Hotel.
Oakland Century Lodge
will honor Seymour Schwartz
for his service to the lodge
and the Jewish community
over the past years. Mr.
Schwartz is an entertainment
agent in the metropolitan
area serving his third con-
secutive term as president.
He is a past president of
Detroit Lodge, B'nai B'rith.
The program will include
the awarding of two $500
scholarships in the name of
Maurice Rosender to Jewish
students whose achievements
indicate future commitment
to the community.
The speaker will be Sam Of-
fen, Holocaust survivor,
whose subject will be, "Life in _
Nazi Europe — Before, Dur-
ing, After WW II." The pro-
gram will be followed by an
afterglow.

reception held last week at

Harris Mainster saw
$1,102,000 in Bond securities
subscribed by the 50 recep-
tion guests.
The event was a prelude to
the Maimonides Awards Din-
ner sponsored by the Metro
Detroit Professional Health
Services Division of State of
Israel Bonds, to be held June
13 at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek.
Receiving
Israel's
Maimonides Awards at the
dinner will be Paul L.
Broughton, president of
Harper Hospital, and Jack H.
Whitlow, executive director of
Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital.
