Bais Chabad Torah Center
of West Bloomfield will hold
its annual dinner June 17 at
the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center. The cen-
ter will celebrate 10 years of
service to the metro Jewish
community. At the dinner, the
18 original founders of the
center will be honored.
As part of its outreach pro-
gram, the center offers
courses in Judaism to all
segments of the community.
The courses range from basic
reading skills to classes in
Talmud and Kabbalah. The
center sponsors Shabbatons,
mitzvah projects, such as the
Jewish Community Center
Chabad Matzah Bakery, as
well as programs which take
place in homes for the aged,
state mental institutions, and
on college campuses.
The founders who will be
honored are: Mr. and Mrs.

Hyman Blumenstein, Mr. Ir-
