Detroit Hadassah
Holds Installation .

Emanu-EI Presents
World Jews Series

The Greater Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah held its
annual installation luncheon
at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Barbara Gutman was install-
ed as president for the
1991-1992 year beginning the
celebration of the 75th An-
niversary of Hadassah in the
Detroit Metropolitan area.
Diane Hauser, past chapter
president, served as installing
officer.
The slate of officers for
1991-1992 is: vice presidents,
Beverly Fine, Audrey Sobel,
Hilary Isakow, Linda Berlin,
Carrie Kushner, Elaine Stur-
man, Marcia Kersch, Marion
Scheiman, Marcia Bednarsh,
Shirley Ward, Francine Hack,
Shelly Boschan, Suzanne
Noveck.
Also, Carole Aaron, Bar-
bara Ben, Paulette Bonin,
Lauren Bruss, Nancy Handel-
man, Suzanne Kaufman,
Agnes Klein, Joan Provizer,
Barbara Robinson, Phyllis
Subar. Serving as treasurer
will be Marjie Federman and
secretaries are Agi Alpert,
Marilyn Ash and Judy
Coleman.
Arline Gould, outgoing
president, presented the
"Woman of the Year"
award to Hilary Isakow and
the "National Leadership
Award" to Diane Klein.

The Temple Emanu-El Sis-
terhood will present the
fourth in the "Jews of the
World" series 7:30 p.m. June
1 at the temple.
Following an installation of
the officers of the arms and
auxiliaries, a Greek dinner
will be served. Rabbi Lane
Steinger will speak on "The
Jews of Greece."

Evergreen
Installation Dinner

Evergreen Group of
Hadassah will hold its in-
stallation dinner 6:30 p.m.
June 4 at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Installing officer
will be Arline Gould, past
president of the Greater
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah.
Following dinner, a pro-
gram of Israeli, Jewish,
klezmer and American music
will be performed by "Di
Klezmer Tzva."

Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center will sponsor a
trip to Greektown June 5.
Those attending will meet in
the library of Maple-Drake
11:30 a.m.
Lunch will be followed by
an afternoon ride on the Peo-
ple Mover or time to browse
through Trapper's Alley.

transportation; lunch is not
