Plans Open House

The Agency for Jewish
Education Special Education
Program will hold an open
house 7:30-9 p.m. May 30 at
the United Hebrew Schools
building.
The program will include a
presentation "Focus on the
Family: Empowering Parents,
Siblings, and People with
Special Needs."
Presenters will be Hilary
Drucker, social worker at the
Jewish Family Service, and
Patricia Mullen, program
director at Interdependence, a
community reentry program
for people with developmen-
tal disabilities and head
injuries.
Parents will have the oppor-
tunity to discuss their pro-
gramming need for the fall.
Also featured will be a
display of Jewish books,
games and tapes, available
for purchase. Refreshments
will be served.
The agency's Special
Education Program serves all
areas of special needs, in-
cluding learning disabilities,
developmental disabilities,
autism and emotional im-
pairments. Individualized
programs are designed to
meet the needs of children
ages three through adult.

64.000 LOSS: About 64,000 Aetna
policyholders will be affected by the com-
pany's decision to stop providing
automobile and homeowner insurance in
Michigan, the insurer said in confirmino the
pullout. Aetna will stop writing policies June
3. Beginning July 1. it will notify existing
customers as their policies come up for
renewal. Aetna, which has 31,000 auto
policies and 33,000 homeowner policies in
Michigan, said those coverages do not earn
enough money in the state.
