Mission participants will meet representatives of the Israel Defense Force, kibbutz- niks and government of- ficials; visit Detroit's Project Renewal sister city of Yavne, Yad Vashem, Old Jaffa and an underwater observatory and participate in an ar- cheological dig. BROWN, chair- man, department of anesthe- siology, Sinai Hospital, is the winner of the William 0. McQuiston, M.D. Award, which is presented annually to an anesthesiologist with a national education who has made significant contribu- tions to the practice of anes- thesiology. The first physician from the state of Michigan to receive this honor, Dr. Brown was selected from a group of anesthesiologists for the award. The honor is spon- sored by the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists.
