Included in the jury for the
1991 exhibition are Aaronel
Gruber, a sculptor; Barbara
Tannenbaum, curator at the
Akron Art Museum; and
Richard Treaster, a water-
color painter.

The Toledo Area Artists ex-
hibition, which is made possi-
ble in part by a grant from the
Ohio Arts Council, is
admission-free and will open
to the public June 9 through
July 7.

`Earthly Delights'
Potters' Exhibit

The Galleria Officentre,
will host "Earthly Delights,"
an exhibition of ceramic
garden ornaments and
sculpture specially created by
invited members of the
Michigan Potters' Association
May 10-June 1 in the atrium
of 300 Galleria Officentre.
Following the opening recep-
tion 5:30-8:30 p.m. May 10,
gallery hours will be Monday
through Friday, 10 a.m.-5:30
p.m. and Saturday, noon-5:30
p.m.
The exhibit will be compris-
ed of ceramic ornaments and
sculpture for indoor and out-
door gardens. Participating
artists include Mark Chat-
terley of Okemos who will
show a large outdoor raku
figural sculpture; Graham
Marks, ceramics department
chair at Cranbrook Academy;
and John Stephenson of Ann
Arbor, who will show one of
his large auger sculptures.

Sixty other artists from
Michigan will exhibit their .
work. The reception will
feature Ursula Walker and
the Buddy Budson Band.
Refreshments will be served.

Toledo Museum
Annual Exhibition

The Toledo Museum of Art
announces the Toledo Area
Artists 73rd Annual Exhibi-
tion 10 a.m.-4 p.m. May 10-11
at the Museum's service en-
trance on Grove Place.
Cosponsored by the Toledo
Federation of Art Societies,
Inc., and the Museum, this
juried exhibition offers over
$6,000 in prizes and awards.
Artists are encouraged to
submit work for considera-
tion. Artists and craftsmen
may submit up to three en-
tries in any medium em-
ployed in a traditional art
form, namely: painting, draw-
ing, print, photograph,
sculpture, mosaic, ceramic,
glass, jewelry, textile,
metalwork, enamel and wood-
work. This year video entries
will be accepted for inclusion
in the exhibition.
