USY Planning Region Meetings NCSY Plans For Shavuot OFF I ANY Temple Israel, Sets Confirmation United Synagogue of America will sponsor a pro- gram for synagogue leaders at four congregations in the region. Rabbi Robert Abramson, director of the department of education of United Syna- gogue of America and Michael Ungar, a rabbinical student at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America will lead sessions on education and youth. They will take place May 13 at Congregation of Moses in Kalamazoo and May 14 at Beth Israel Congregation in Ann Arbor. Rabbi David Blumenfeld, director of the department of services to Affiliated Con- gregations of United Synagogue of America will lead the second session; his topic will be synagogue ad- ministration May 21 at Con- gregation Beth Israel in Flint and May 22 at Congregation Ahavas Israel in Grand Rapids.
