The Brandeis National
Womens' Committee, Greater
Detroit Chapter, will host its
spring luncheon noon May
22, at Tam O'Shanter Coun-
try Club.
The speaker will be Dr.
Jacob Lassner on "Jewish-
Muslim Relations: Past, Pre-
sent and Future?'

Jacob Lassner is professor
of Near Eastern and Asian
Studies and director of the
Cohn-Haddow Center for
Judaic Studies at Wayne
State University. A specialist
in Muslim-Jewish relations,
Dr. Lassner was also a fellow
of the Hebrew Union College
School in Jerusalem; a
member of the Institute of Ad-
vanced Studies at Princeton;
and resident scholar at the
Rockefeller Institute in
Bellagio, Italy.

The Greater Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah will
hold its installation program
10:30 a.m. May 14 at "Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Entertainment will be by
the ABZ Klezmer Band. The
three performers of this local
troupe are Abraham Ben-
Ze'ev, Norma HarPaz and
Russel Miller. They have per-
formed locally and
throughout Europe. They will
play old favorites to sing
along with as well as the
music called Klezmer.
The program will include
the installation of Barbara
Gutman as chapter president.
Vice presidents include
Beverly Fine, Audrey Sobel,
Hilary Isakow, Linda Berlin,
Carrie Kushner, Elaine Stur-
man, Marcia Kersh, Marion
Scheiman, Marcia Bednarsh,
Shirley Ward, Francine Hack,
Shelly Boschan and Suzanne
Noveck.
