He owned the Alamo Lounge nitery on Livernois years back with partner "Stewie" Siegel . . . Max not only worked the bar, serving mixed drinks and pouring the right shots, but also rang the cash register, which in those days made a lot of constant music at the Alamo . . . "Stewie" went on to own Hello Dolly on second Boulevard before becoming a pit boss at the former M.G.M. Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Nicknames continue to crop up . . .
