Young Musicians
In Concert

The Jewish Community
Center of Metropolitan
Detroit will present the win-
ners of the fourth annual
Michigan Young Musicians
Competition in a concert 8
p.m. May 15 at the Maple-
Drake building. There is no
fee.
Featured will be Anthony
Bonamici, 15-year-old Livonia
pianist, and Tanya Ell,
12-year-old Okemos cellist,
who shared first prize. Second
prize winner, Alana Starr,
13-year-old Southfield
pianist, and third prize win-
ner Raymond Chi, 16-year-old
Okemos cellist, are also
featured.

Beethoven's Fifth Sym-
phony will mark the finale of
the Warren Symphony's eigh-
teenth season 7:30 p.m. May
5 at Warren Woods Communi-
ty Theater.
The program will include
the Overture to Wagner's Die
Meistersinger, Tchaikovsky's
Piano Concerto No. 2 with
soloist Louis Nagel and
Gematria by Michigan com-
poser Elaine Lebenbom.
David Daniels, Warren Sym-
phony music director, will
conduct.

Music Study Club
Plans Programs

The Choral Group of Music
Study Club will present
several programs of songs.
The first will be 2 p.m. April
15 at Farmington Nursing
Home, 30405 Folsom Road,
Farmington Hills; a second
performance will be 1:30 p.m.
May 13 at Borman Hall.
The annual installation
luncheon of Music Study
Club will be noon May 21 at
the Birmingham Temple. The
choral group will share the
program with Yuko Akuda,
pianist. The City of South-
field will co-sponsor the
program.
