playwrights in a free perfor-
mance 7:30-9:30 p.m. May 7
at the Southfield Library. The
readings will be sponsored by
Detroit Women Writers.
Yolanda Fleischer, of the
theatre departments at
Wayne State University and
the University of Detroit and
artistic director of the Jewish
Community Center Readers
Theater, is casting local ac-
tors in roles written by
members of Detroit Women
Writers.
The first annual Play-
wrights Reading, with
refreshments served at inter-
mission, will be in celebration
of Detroit Women Writers'
90th anniversary.

One hundred skaters from
the Berkley area will perform
in this year's Berkley Ice
Show, All Through The Night.
The show will begin with a
"Night on the 'Ibwn," con-
tinue to "Getting Ready for
Bed" and look at the things
that "Only Come Out at
Night."
This year's show will
highlight two Soviet skaters
who have recently moved to
the Detroit area. Igor Shpil-
band and Vladimir Levechen-
kov were members of the
Soviet Union's national teams
and international competi-
tors.
The show will be performed
7:30 p.m. May 3, 2 p.m. and 7
p.m. May 4, 5 p.m. May 5. The
ice arena is located on Robina
between Greenfield and
Coolidge, off of Catalpa.
