tribute dinner on behalf of
State of Israel Bonds June 4
in the synagogue.
Mr. Blumenberg will com-
plete his two-year tenure as
president of the congregation
on June 1. He will be
presented with Israel's
Jerusalem Award in recogni-
tion of his outstanding ser-
vice to the Jewish people. The
dinner will be the syna-
gogue's 30th annual Israel
Bond event.
The honoree serves as vice
president of Detroit's Jewish
Community Council and
chairman of Histradut of
Metropolitan Detroit. He is a
member of the International
Board of Ampal — American
Israel Corporation and the In-
stitute of Electrical, Elec-
tronic Engineers. He has
served on the Board of Gover-
nors of the Jewish Welfare
Federation, the Board of
Midrasha College of Jewish
Studies, and the Board of the
American Israel Chamber of
Commerce.
