Concert Series
Hosts Trio
The Julius Chajes Music
Fund Concert Series will pre-
sent the closing concert of the
1990-91 season 3 p.m. April
28 in the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center. The St.
Clair Trio will present a pro-
gram of Haydn, Shostakovich,
Bridge and Chajes.
The trio members are Em-
manuelle Boisvert, concert-
master of the Detroit Sym-
phony Orchestra; Marcy
Chanteaux, assistant prin-
cipal cello, Detroit Symphony
Orchestra; Pauline Martin,
pianist.
Ms. Boisvert was a violinist
with the Cleveland Sym-
phony Orchestra before her
appointment in Detroit in
1988. She has performed in
chamber ensembles at the
Marlboro Music Festival and
has made solo appearances in
Quebec, Toronto, Philadel-
phia, Michigan, Colorado and
Florida. She graduated from
the Curtis Institute of Music,
where she studied under
Galamian and Cerone.
M.& Chanteaux, pianist and
cellist, was a cellist with the
Washington National Sym-
phony before she succeeded
Mischa Kottler as pianist for
the D.S.O. After four years she
moved to the cello section
where she was soon appointed
assistant principal cello.
Pianist Pauline Martin
studied with Menahem Press-
ler at Indiana University, ear-
ning her master's degree in
piano performance. She holds
a Doctor of Musical Arts
degree in performance from
the University of Michigan.
