Business Mission
Planned For May
American-Israel
The
Chamber of Commerce of
Michigan has organized a
local delegation to participate
in the Israel Economic Forum
Conference in Haifa, Israel,
May 6-9.
A list of potential par-
ticipants was identified by the
Chamber and the Jewish
Welfare Federation and an in-
vitation was extended to par-
ticipate by Asher N. Tilchin,
president of the Chamber and
David Hermelin, vice presi-
dent of the Federation.
Shelly Komer Jackier, ex-
ecutive director of the
Chamber, said the delegation
includes Jewish and non-
Jewish businesspersons from
a variety of industries — high
technology, automotive com-
ponents, agricultural equip-
ment, construction — and
from several professions —
legal and investment.
"Business appointments, a
visit to Yavne — Detroit's
sister City for Project
Renewal — touring, and home
hospitality are other
elements of the mission in ad-
dition to the conference
venue," she said.
For information, call the
Chamber office, 661-1948.
