A youth troupe of dancers
from Bucharest, Romania,
will headline the fourth an-
nual International Folk
Dance Festival 4-7:30 p.m.
April 21 at the Southfield
Civic Center Pavilion.
Ansemble DOR, a group of
25 dancers, 10 musicians and
15 pan pipers, will make their
first American appearance at
the Southfield dance festival
in three performances.
Joining them will be nine of
this area's finest folk dancers,
representing Ireland, Greece,
Argentina, Israel, Poland,
Africa, Slovakia, India and
Lithuania.
An international buffet
served by area restaurants
also will be offered during the
Festival, including Lebanese,
Jewish, Polish, Italian,
Greek, French, Japanese,
Thai and Indian dishes or
desserts.

JARC Art
At Sinai
Sponsored by the Sinai
Hospital Guild, the third an-
nual art exhibition and recep-
tion for the artists and par-
ticipants of the Jewish
Association for Residential
Care (JARC) will be in the
hospital's Fisher Lobby
through April 30.
The work of more than 25
artists includes watercolor,
ceramic, acrylic and fiber art.
The exhibit is free and open
to the public.

Book Review
Rabbi Sherwin Wine of the
Birmingham Temple will pre-
sent the third of three reviews
on the theme: "Books Worth
Reading," 8:30 p.m. April 22
at the temple.
The third book will be
Power Shift by Alvin Toffler.
Mr. Toffler discusses how
power shifts are transformng
finance, politics and the
media creating a different
society. Discussion will follow
the review. There is a charge.
