The speaker will be Rabbi Bruce Aft, whose topic is "Reflections On My Trip To The Soviet Union." Rabbi Aft is ordained as a Reconstructionist rabbi. He has worked in both Conser- vative and Reform settings and has had education jobs which include special projects coordinated for the Board of Jewish Education of Metro- politan Chicago, the executive director for the Midwest Region of the Reconstruc- tionist Congregations and Chavurot and rabbinical posi- tions for several congre- gations. Rabbi Aft is the director of the Midrasha — College of Jewish Studies and Principal of the Community Jewish High School. Anne Mondrow will deliver the invocation. Refreshments will be served. Livonia Women Plan Events The Livonia Jewish Con-: gregation Sisterhood will meet 8 p.m. April 23 at the synagogue. Ruth Marcus, president for the Michigan branch of the Women's League for Conservative Judaism, will speak. There will be a Sisterhood Shabbat 8 p.m. April 26 emphasizing women's con- tributions to Judaism. The sisterhood will have its second annual ladies' lun- cheon 1 p.m. May 5 with a fashion show. Mr. Dobb is a degree candidate in Jewish communal service and Judaic and peace studies at Brandeis University and lec- tures around the country on the environmental crisis. Food for Thought is a three- part educational luncheon series sponsored by Federa- tion's Women's Division. There is a fee.
