AROUND TOWN
Ho spit
Hundreds of area residents
came to Sinai Hospital
to give it a "hug"
and to participate in
other activities.
People gather around Sinai to give it a "hug."
fter months of controversy
over its financial solvency
and its very survival, the
one thing that Detroit's
Sinai Hospital needed
was a hug. And last week on a pretty
Sunday afternoon, 1,500 Detroit area
residents not only gave the facility a
needed squeeze, but also blew a few
kisses its way. Sinai provided carnival
games and face painting for the
children and free food and refresh-
ment for everyone. There were tours
of the hospital along with blood
pressure screenings offered to the
community. ■
