In 1969 while playing first base for the Washington

history of the expansion New York Mets franchise in 1962.

It Can!

Name the Jewish battery — pitcher and catcher — of the
Detroit Tigers in 1950. Joe Ginsberg and Saul Rogovin.
His nickname was "Lefty" and he managed the Califor-
nia Angels 1969-71. "Lefty" Phillips.

In 1962 this pitcher hurled a no hitter for the California
Angels against the Orioles. He was more famous, though,
for being linked romantically with Mamie Van Doren. Bo

Belinsky.

This former catcher who ended his career in 1939, was
the subject of the book, Athlete, Scholar, Spy. Moe Berg.
He pitched his second no-hitter in 1971 with the Cubs.
This lefthander was also a member of the Oakland staff
which won three consecutive championships and later pit-
ched for the Yankees. Ken Holtzman.

He pitched his first career shutout with the White Sox
in 1958 and ended his career with Houston in 1966. Barry

Latman.

This outfielder hit four grand slam home runs for the
Boston Braves in 1950. He also played with the New York
Giants. Sid Gordon.

This outfielder came up to the majors with the Indians
in 1965. He hit over .300 in 1972 and represented the Royals
in the All-Star Game that year. Richie Scheinblum.
He played the outfield for the Reds, Mets, Cubs and
Oakland from 1965 through 1972. His first name was Art.
What's his last name? Shamsky.

He was a second baseman for the New York Giants in
1926, 1928 and 1929. What's Andy's last name? Cohen.
He was a minor league first baseman and is now a high-
ranking member of the commissioner's office. Steve
