Minority Workshop The Oakland University Continuum Center will pre- sent a workshop, "Many Dif- ferent Needs: Multi-Cultural Awareness," designed to move counselors, educators and other professionals toward cross-cultural competency 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 16 on campus. Program presenters, Elinor Waters and Jacqueline Moase-Burke, will explore ethnic backgrounds; the dif- ferent approaches necessary for various immigrant groups, and ways to help foreign-born students and clients improve their performance in this American setting. The focus will be on reducing the frustration of "on-the-job" ex- perience with cultural differences. There is a fee which in- cludes lunch.
