Art Of Sybil Mintz

The Cultural Commission
of .Congregation Beth
Abraham Hillel Moses will
host a one-person art show,
"Mixed Media" featuring ar-
tist Sybil Mintz 7:30-10 p.m.
April 18; 9:45 p.m.-midnight
April 20 and noon-4 p.m.
April 21. There will be a
reception on Saturday even-
ing to meet the artist.
Mrs. Mintz is an art history
instructor at Wayne State
University. Her works are in
many collections. Mrs. Mintz
develops art forms based on
her impressions of Israel.
The exhibit will include
watercolor and mixed-media
paintings and fused, shaped
and painted glass forms.
Cultural commission
chairperson, Bea Mondry, and
chairperson, Charlotte
Tessler, coordinated this ex-
hibit. There is no charge.

Giora Feldman
In Concert

The Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center will pre-
sent a concert by Giora Feid-
man and his trio 8 p.m., April
13.
Mr. Feidman was the
featured clarinet soloist in
Enemies, A Love Story. The
music by Maurice Jarre was
written especially for him. He
recently returned from a
European and Russian tour
which included concerts in
Moscow, Vilna, Mintz and
West Berlin.
Mr. Feidman and his trio
will play a variety of music
from classical to pop. There is
a charge. For information call
the Center, 661-1000 Ext.
293. This program is spon-
sored by Michigan Council for
the Arts and the Manny and
Natalie Charach Endowment
Fund at the JCC.

Hosts Guitarist

Classical guitarist Michael
Stockdale will perform
Rodrigo's Concierto Aranjuez
with the Warren Symphony
Orchestra 7:30 p.m. April 14
in Warren Woods Community
Theater on 12 Mile Road west
of Schoenherr Road, Warren.
Mr. Stockdale was
graduated from London's
Royal College of Music. He
chairs the guitar department
at the Center for Creative
Studies: Institute of Music
and Dance. He is also a
member of the artist faculty
at Wayne State University.
