He will conduct a Friday evening Shabbat ser- vice, a Saturday evening Hav- dalah concert and a Sunday morning lecture-demonstra- tion April 19-21. Mr. Steinberg is director of music at Temple Sinai in Toronto. He is the author of 10 cantatas and five Shabbat services. Mr. Steinberg will open his visit 8 p.m. April 19 with a presentation of his liturgical music and a newly- created work, Prayer in Jerusalem, in celebration of Israel Independence Day Shabbat. He will conduct his cantata, Crown of Torah at a Havdalah concert 5:30 p.m. April 20. Both events will feature the Temple choirs and instrumen- talists from the Michigan Opera Theatre orchestra. Mr. Steinberg will appear at a Brotherhood Breakfast 9:30 a.m. April 21. He and Cantor Gail Hirschenfang will give a lecture-demonstration on "Trends in Jewish Music!" Rabbi Wine Book Review Rabbi Sherwin Wine will present the second of three reviews on the theme: "Books Worth Reading" 8:30 p.m. April 15 at the Birmingham Temple.
