Chaldean Groups
Set • Presentation

The Greater Detroit
Chapter of the American
Jewish Congress will host a
presentation by four members
of the Detroit Chaldean-
American community. 7:30
p.m. April 15 in the Agency
for Jewish Education (former-
ly United Hebrew Schools).,
John Mackay, Karla Atchoo,
Sharkey Haddad and Joseph
Kassab, all actively involved
in the Detroit Chaldean-
American community, will
discuss the history, culture
and socio-economic position
and aspirations of this
minority group. The par-
ticipants will present a short
film and will answer
questions.
Admission is free, refresh-
ments will be served.

Hope Palmer
At Bar-Ilan Donor

Hope Palmer, art critic and
historian, will present a slide
show and commentary on
"Women Artists: Luminaries
of the Nineties" noon April
15 at the Bar-Ilan donor lun-
cheon at the home of Miriam
Ferber, 4401 South Bay Drive,
Orchard Lake. The chapter
also will install its new of-
ficers and board.
Hope Palmer received her
degrees from the University
of Michigan and is a lecturer
for Oakland Community Col-
lege, Henry Ford Community
College and the Detroit In-
stitute of Arts.
